Minulú sobotu sme sa zúčastnili charitatívneho behu Walk to Remember. Pre mňa to bolo "Tehdy poprvé", nikdy som nič takéhto nepodnikla, ale rozhodne to bolo na mojom nepísanom "liste vecí, ktoré chcem spraviť kým zomriem" spoločne s pár ďalšími menovanými tu.
On Saturday, we participated in Walk to Remember charity run/jog/walk. It was the first time I have done something like this, however I always wanted. To take place in such an action was on my "To Do List Until I Die" together with few other items I mentioned here.
Videla som film Walk to Remember, vrelo doporučujem, ak si chcete poplakať, ja som ho videla asi trikrát a vždy zabral. V podstate kvôli filmu ma upútal leták s rovnakým názvom. A tiež som tajne dúfala, že sa zúčastní aj Shane West.
I have seen the movie Walk to Remmeber three times and all the times I cried. I think it was the first movie in my folder "Crying Movies" . That's actually what caught my attention when I saw the leaflet. And also maybe I was hoping Shane West will be there as well.
Zaregristovalli sme sa online asi mesiac dopredu a po pár dňoch sme dostali list, že si môžme prísť vyzdvihnúť tričká a čísla. Mne sa cyklaménová veľmi páči, ale Gansta z toho príliš nadšený nebol, sa mračil a žundral "Tak toto na mňa nikto nedostane...". A dostal. A nakoniec sa mu aj páčilo.
We registered online like a month ago and few days after that we received a letter saying that we could pick up our T-shits and numbers. I like this color, but Gangsta wasn't very happy about that, frowning and mumbling "There is no way I would wear this". He did. And he liked it.
V osudové ráno som sa zobudila krásne odpočinutá a dala som si výdatné raňajky. Raňajky sú pre mňa nutnosť, verím tomu, že bez ranného posilnenia by som to nezvládla ani pred barák. Posledných pár týždňov som si mimoriadne obľúbila muesli s mliekom, slnečnicovými semienkami, banánom a veľkou lyžicou arašídového masla.
In the morning of the day D, I woke up amazingly fresh and had a nice breakfast. I just have to have a breakfast, otherwise I wouldn't be able to make it out of the flat. My favorite breakfast now is some muesli, milk,sunflower seeds, banana and a big spoon of peanut butter.
A trpko som to oľutovala! Všetci sme sa zhromaždili v budove divadla voWorthingu, organizovane sme sa zahriali a vyrazili o 10.30. My sme sa rozhodli, že pobežíme 5km, mohli sme 10....nie, ruku na srdce, nemohli, ale tá možnosť tu bola tiež. Väčšina ľudí sa rozhodla pre chôdzu.
Oh how much I regretted that! We gathered all in the Worthing theater and had a short warming up, the run itself started at 10.30. We chose to run 5 kms, we could have run 10 km...well no, we couldn't, but the option was there. Most of the people chose to walk.
Bolo to úplne super, fakt som si to nesmierne užila...po ceste k stredovému otočnému bodu ( bežali sme 2.5km po pobreží, otočili sa a bežali späť) som si veľmi detailne obhliadala kríčky pozdĺž trasy a odhadovala, kde moje raňajky nájdu druhý domov. Katastrofa sa však nekonala, naspäť sa bežalo oveľa ľahšie, moňo aj preto, že ma nakonci čakala medaila.
It was so much fun, I really enjoyed it...on the way to the turning point (we ran 2.5 km on the seafront and then turned and ran back) I was observing very closely all the bushes I was running around thinking which one would have liked my breakfast. Fortunately nothing happened but I was really suffering! The way back was much better, maybe because I knew I would get a medal.
Stále sa vytešujeme, že sme to zvládli, odmenou nám bola aj riadna svalovica. A nechcite vidieť ako sa dostávame do auta alebo dole po schodoch.
We were so happy that we did it even though my back/abbs/legs still ache. And I don't wish anyone to see us trying to get into the car or walking down the stairs.
