Does it happen to you too, that are in need for a bit of romance into your life? To me, it happens once or twice a year, and at those times, I usually watch one of the Step Up movies (my favourite is the second one) or read a romance book. But I don't like those stupid sweet stories about a widowed vet doctor with manly hairy chest and a busy business woman whose car breaks down just in front of the vet's house in the middle of a rainy night.
Moja voľba je jasná, Gričská čarodejnica. Geniálnych 7 dielov, v ktorých nechýbajú intrigy na kráľovskom dvore, nečakané zápletky a rozuzlenia, hodvábne šaty a honosné oslavy a samozrejme mužná hruď dokonalého džentlmena. Knihy (diely 2-7) sú zasadené do obdobia vlády Márie Terézie a jej syna Jozefa II, okrem už spomínaného romanticého náboja však ponúkajú aj priblíženie historických udalostí a osobností vo veľmi pútavej forme (napr. hon na čarodejnice). Takže bezduchá zábava sa nekoná.
My choice is simple The Witch of Grič. I love all of the 7 novels, in which you can find intrigues on the royal court, unexpected plots conflicts and conclusions, silk dresses and luxury celebrations and of course a manly chest of a real gentleman. The stories (2-7) take place during the reign of Maria Theresa and her son Joseph II and except for the romantic part mentioned above, the books offer a really close look to the historic characters and facts (very impressive witchcraft description). So you can learn a lot if you don't turn your brain off while reading.
Pamätám si, keď som čítala Tajomstvo Krvavého mostu čítala prvýkrát, mala som asi 15 rokov, knižku som mala od babiny, vydanie asi 70 rokov staré, ktoré dokázalo vlastné príbehy a pritom som počúvala HIM.
I remember when I read the Secret of the Bloody Bridge for the first time, I was around 15, my grandma gave me the book, it was published around 70 years ago and the book itself could tell stories. An I was listening to HIM.
